WHERE HAVE I BEEN!!!!

The last month or so has been a hectic one for me and my family. As many of you know, my brother in-law Pedro Guerra passed away in El Paso on March 15, after being on life support for a week due to an anurism. Because of his unexpected passing there are a lot of things that my husband needs to take care of in El Paso which means that we will have to travel back and forth between here and there for a while until everything is worked out. There is no doubt in my mind that my first duty is to mini… Continue

a month and counting...

It is hard to believe that a month has already gone by since we reopened. Things are going well and everything seems to be falling back into place. This past month has been full of great things including our grand opening celebration and a special presentation by my all time favorite Christian Artist "JORGE MOREL". Our trading closet is off to a great start and thanks to the hard work of Veronica, Tawnee, Melissa and so many others it is looking better and better each day. If you have stopped by… Continue

Coffee and Beyond

If you have driven past our spot in the last couple of days you probably noticed that we are now open and that the sign above our space reads "Coffee and Beyond". Aside from our name, our vision and mission remain the same. I have to admit that there were many times in the last couple of months when I wondered if we would be able to open again or not, but like always God remains faithful and here we are. I thank all of you for your prayers and words of encouragement and I look forward to being h… Continue

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND UPDATE!

HELLO!!! It seems like forever since the last time I talked to some of you and I hope all of you are doing well as you prepare to celebrate the Christmas Holidays with family and friends. I was hoping that if I waited long enough to post an update I would be able to provide you with a Juguemos Juntos Grand reopening date but as of today I don't yet have an exact date...but progress has indeed been made. Our fire alarm system is being installed by Interfase Hawk Securities and they tell me that… Continue

Hello and update!!!

Let me start off by saying that although I was not expecting for it to take this long to open back up the down time has been nice on many levels. I miss the coffee shop and all of you very much... but everything happens for a reason and all of this will resolve itself in God's perfect time. So let me update you on what has been happening since the last time I wrote. The city classified us as an educational facility which means we have to meet higher standards to insure the safety of the childre… Continue

Juguemos Juntos update

Hello everyone! First of all let me say that I miss seeing you all very much. I want to apologize for the lack of communication in the last two weeks but I have been spending my time gathering quotes and bids to try to reopen as soon as possible The city reclassified us an educational venue which means we must install a fire alarm system and a couple of other things in the new spot before they grant us the certificate of occupancy and in the meantime juguemos juntos must remain closed. The futur… Continue

"Hola Marcella, Como se encuentra la agente de arrendimiento (leasing agent) mas amable del mundo? Para mi ha sido una semana un poco dificil pero al final del dia...cuando me retiro del mundo y encuentro mi refugio en los brazos y la misericordia de Dios todos mis problemas se desvanecen y el me da fuerzas para enfrentar un nuevo dia con una sonrisa y mucha esperanza a peasr de sus dificultades... Now, if you didn't get all that it's o.k. because it's not really relevant to what I'm going to a… Continue

The coffee shop chronicles...Now that I have time to breathe...

So... since the last time I wrote an entry everything has fallen into place. After much prayer, anguish and fear we decided to take the plunge and we moved Juguemos Juntos from our original corner suite (1,300 sqf) into suite 500 (4,100 sqf). As I look back at the past two weeks what stands out in my mind the most is the outpouring of support of all the angels that God has sent our way. We had over 30 individuals who helped make this transition a reality and that is not counting all of you who h… Continue

The Coffee Shop Chronicles...the snow ball is in motion again...

Those of you that have personally talked to me, have probably heard about the snow ball, but let me take the time to explain the concept for those who might not know what I'm talking about. Way back when...when we first set out on the journey that would bring Juguemos Juntos into existance (about 5 months ago) I sat in front of the computer and began to write a business plan to what would become Juguemos Juntos. Being that I have no business background what so ever, I put most of the responsibil… Continue

The Coffee Shop Chronicles...Three months and counting...

So we have officially been open for a whole quarter. As I look back and try to remember everything that has happened in the last three months I wish I would have started this blog from the very beginning. However, like they say it does no good to dwell on the past so let me just tell you how we stand today. As far as our concept goes, it seems that we are a in fact filling a need that not many people have tried to fill. We are trying to make sure we don't get side tracked or bogged down with the… Continue

"The Coffee Shop Chronicles...Introduction"

Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Carolina Guerra, and I'm crazy in love with God. I am also crazy in love with my husband Enrique and crazy in love with my three beautiful children, Jonathan Scott, Abraham, and Sofia. If I were to sum up my life in just one word it would be "blessed". Through the grace of God, I have had the opportunity to do a number of different things in my life and in 31 years, I have come a long way from being just another baby in the small country of El S… Continue
