WHERE HAVE I BEEN!!!!

The last month or so has been a hectic one for me and my family. As many of you know, my brother in-law Pedro Guerra passed away in El Paso on March 15, after being on life support for a week due to an anurism. Because of his unexpected passing there are a lot of things that my husband needs to take care of in El Paso which means that we will have to travel back and forth between here and there for a while until everything is worked out. There is no doubt in my mind that my first duty is to minister to my husband and our kids during this period of time so unfortunally that means that at least for now I will be unable to devote a lot of time to Coffee and Beyond.

Thanks to the grace of God however, Coffee and Beyond has evolved in such a way that I know that even without me present at all times it will continue to grow and flourish. I want to take the time to introduce you to two of the many "angels" that God has led to Coffee and Beyond to make sure that the doors continue to be opened in the morning despite of my absence.

I know that you will all feel as comfortable interacting with them as I do for they are truly wonderful people. Remember that this place was never something that I did everything that has happened here has happened through the grace of God and I know that Coffee and Beyond will be here as long as he sees fit.

I thank all of you for your continued prayers as my family and I work through this period of discernment of God's will for our future.

STEPHANIE....

Even though she lives all the way in Irving she makes her way to Coffee and Beyond every morning and makes sure that we keep the "Coffee" part of our mission going. As those of you who have had a chance to talk to her know she is a wonderful person who loves God and gives of herself unconditionally and as a licensed Insurance Agent can answer any question you might have regarding that as well.

JOHN

John is the pastor for the Narrow Trail Cowboy Church. He was a previous coffee shop owner and he has helped me tremendously in learning the "reason" that drives my faith. He is in charge of the theology program on Monday Nights, The Wednesday Worship Service and the Job Seeker networking that is currently taking place here.

DUSTY

Dusty is our liason with the North Texas Guitar Club and a devoted member of our Conversational Spanish Club. His talent, great sense of humor and tender heart makes him a delightful person to know.

Judy is our quit dreaming and let's get it done member of our group. From cleaning the windows, to bringing cake, making balloon animals and creating wonderful advertisements Coffee and Beyond would not be half of what it is today without her encouragement and determination.
